The Gorilla was showcased for the first time ever in the Grand Palais in Paris in February 2019, during the ArtCapital Fair.
On this occasion, it was one of the public’s special favourites and was awarded this French artists’ fair’s Bronze Medal, an extremely rare honour for a first-time participation in the event. The Gorilla was the first work of art created by the artist, who devoted 6 months of his life to completing it, all the whilst experimenting his highly-unique technique for assembling pieces of cardboard.
Since then, the sculpture received the WildlifeArtisteOfTheYear award (Animal Behavior category) in 2019 in London by the David Shepherd Foundation, and was seen in season 3 of the hit series Riviera on SykAtlantic.
The Gorilla was exhibited in the Airbus ACH area during the Monaco Yacht Show and the Ebace Geneva Show.
